Dr Samaan James Vahid-Assr BSc (Hons), DDS, MSc, PGDip
Aesthetic, Restorative & Implant Dentist
Samaan’s practice is focused on aesthetic, restorative and implant dentistry, with a particular interest in comprehensive treatment planning and the integration of digital technology in modern dental care.
His work ranges from individual aesthetic and restorative treatments through to dental implant rehabilitation and more comprehensive full-mouth cases. This includes porcelain veneers and complex restorative treatment, the replacement of single and multiple missing teeth with dental implants, and full-mouth rehabilitation where a combination of restorative, aesthetic and implant dentistry may be required.
A significant part of Samaan’s implant practice is referral-based, accepting patients from other dentists for all aspects of implant treatment. This includes implant placement and restoration, as well as associated surgical procedures such as bone grafting and sinus augmentation. IV sedation can also be provided for patients who are particularly anxious about treatment.
Digital technology forms an important part of his approach. Where appropriate, digital scanning, three-dimensional imaging and guided planning are used to carefully assess each case and help make treatment as accurate, predictable and considered as possible.
Samaan holds a Master’s degree in Dental Implantology from the University of Salford and has continued to pursue advanced postgraduate training in implant, aesthetic and restorative dentistry in the UK and internationally. He completed Chris Orr’s year-long Advanced Aesthetic and Restorative Dentistry programme in London and has travelled to Italy for further training with Professor Giovanni Zucchelli and Dr Luca De Stavola.
Alongside clinical practice, Samaan has a strong interest in postgraduate dental education and developed a Postgraduate Diploma in Orthodontics and Clear Aligner Therapy for City of London University.
His approach is centred on careful diagnosis and comprehensive treatment planning. Whether treatment involves a single tooth or a more extensive rehabilitation, the emphasis remains on preserving healthy tooth structure where possible and creating results that are natural, functional and appropriate to the individual.
